Any thoughts on this Saturday's USA-England World Cup match? England surely has more stars, so USA's only hope is to offer more cohesive teamwork.

Oh, and Força Portugal!

Hi Mark, you're going to love it! I hope you get lots of fast downwind sailing (it was all upwind sailing for me). The Farr 65's are a fantastic boat anyway.

Gin and tonic is the drink to have a Cafe Sport. And try the big eggy breakfast thing that they do (can't remember what it's called). It sounds rubbish but it's yummy.

Have a wonderful time, fair winds.

Julian

On Saturday I fly to Horta to joint the same trip. Are you sure I have to meet up with my fellow crew members and drink beer with them? Oh well, if I must I must ;-) I can't tell you how excited I am about doing this trip, but I'll let you know how it went when I get back.

Am ashamed to admit I had to look up the Isle of Man's exact location on the Internet. I'd heard of Manx cats (do the island's native BeeGees count, too?).

Weather and flying pans notwithstanding -- lucky it wasn't a boom! -- I'm sure everyone still had a lovely outing. Fresh air does whet the appetite, huh?

Look forward to reading of more of your maritime adventures, now that sailing season is starting to get into full swing.

Hi Mike. Good question. I guess I have found myself in an unlikely situation, being as land locked as I am.
I used to watch the boats out at sea from cliff tops and beaches when on holiday and wish I was out there doing the same. I eventually booked onto a sailing course to see how I would get on, and was immediately hooked.
